The Outdoors is Yours: Staunton/Augusta/Waynesboro Walk-Bike Summit

Learn how to make enduring economic and health impacts on your community through walk-bike projects at the Staunton, Augusta County, and Waynesboro Walk-Bike Summit on Friday, October 20 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Russell Museum in Waynesboro. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

We’ll discuss best practices and key takeaways from the Virginia Capital Trail, Waynesboro’s South River Greenway, and other regional projects.

Meet up after for an optional walking tour of Sunset Park from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., and happy hour at Basic City Brewery from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Cat Anthony hails from Richmond, VA and currently works as the Executive Director for the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation. Her visionary leadership has invigorated the trail’s mission, fostering a sense of connectivity and well-being within the community it serves.

Dwayne Jones is the Director for Waynesboro Parks & Recreation. Since arriving in Waynesboro 29 years ago, Dwayne has been a passionate advocate for the city and its transformation from an industrial town to a vibrant, outdoor oriented city with hospitality at its core.
