As part of the comprehensive plan update, Staunton is asking for feedback on the proposed actions and recommendations to support the goals in the new plan. They’re interested in hearing from city residents as well as folks who work in or visit the city often. The updated plan will include a renewed vision for Staunton addressing key topics such as housing, transportation, parks, economic growth, and neighborhood character.
The survey is dynamic, allowing you to choose which plan chapters and topics you wish to review. You can focus on the specific areas that matter most to you, or you can choose to provide feedback on all of them.
The survey is available online here until December 22nd.
As a reminder, a comprehensive plan guides a community’s growth, development and conservation for the next 20 years. It serves as an important reference when planning commission members and city council members make local decisions to ensure the community’s vision, as captured in the comp plan, is put in place (see our past article on comprehensive plans here).
We commend Staunton staff and elected officials for prioritizing community input in this process and I hope take a few minutes to chime in with your input.
