WOW. The community spoke loud and clear that a Greenville Distribution Center was NOT welcome, and the developer listened and withdrew the application for the rezoning.
This means that the rezoning is no longer on the agenda for the Planning Commission meeting tomorrow, October 11, and will not be discussed at the county any further.
We intend to still deliver our petition, over 700 names strong, to county decision makers to make it clear that we believe this type of development is a bad fit in Greenville. And we’ll also stay alert and continue to follow local proposals and hope you do too.
