One thing we’ve raised is the need to ensure the towns of Mount Crawford and Bridgewater remain distinct and that gateways are added or preserved to slow down traffic transitioning from the larger surrounding roads with higher speeds like I-81 and Route 11.
As usual, we’re cautioning against solutions to congestion or speed that involve a wider roadway, as widening or adding lanes often has the opposite effect, and in many cases invites more development and even more traffic.
