Erin is a native of Rockingham County and loves our beautiful surroundings here in the Shenandoah Valley. She spent some time in Richmond, getting a taste of city life, but ultimately returned to Harrisonburg to attend James Madison University for a degree in Dietetics. Now her passions lie in promoting local foods and agriculture and helping to enhance and protect water quality and preserve natural resources through her work. VDOT is ready to share preliminary design plans for the first portion of Interstate 81 widening in our region associated with the Corridor Improvement Plan and they want to hear what you think.
We applaud city staff for their effort to reimagine this intersection another time after their first plan that included a roundabout was not competitive for funding.
