Disappointing news–the funding for a new 2-lane bridge at the south entrance to Seven Bends State Park didn’t make it into the House or Senate money committees’ approved budgets, meaning that the project is unlikely to be funded this year.
BUT–the letters folks wrote and calls folks made put the project on the radar for state-wide decision makers, and that puts us in a good position to advocate for funding next year.
Kudos to both Senator Timmy French and Delegate Todd Gilbert for advocating for safe access to the park. Please take a moment and thank them for their effort:
