On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, Shenandoah County Board of Supervisors cast a unanimous vote to approve the revised 2045 comprehensive plan. This is the plan that a group of dedicated county residents developed alongside county planning staff after more than 5 years meetings and gathering of public input.
The revised comprehensive plan, Shenandoah County 2045 lays out a vision for the next 20 years that clearly outlines a strong commitment to preservation of our rural agricultural landscapes and natural resources and care to develop livable, walkable communities in and around existing development.
This update was a long haul, and a lot of work for everyone involved—kudos for a great outcome!
