About the forum.
Candidate forums are a great opportunity for voters to meet their candidates and ask questions and for the candidates to introduce themselves and explain why they’re running for office. The forums are intended to be civil, nonpartisan discussions of the issues and we hope an informative event for voters. All are welcome to attend.
How does it work?
On the day of the forum, doors will open at 5:30 PM for question submissions. Index cards will be provided, and all questions must be written in the form of a question—not as a statement or testimonial. The forum will start promptly at 6:00 PM. An impartial moderator will select and read the questions, as well as make decisions about follow-up by candidates.
Schedule of events.
5:30 PM – Venue doors open
6:00 PM – Moderator opening remarks
6:10 PM – Supervisor forum begins
7:30 PM – School board forum begins
