Warren County will be a thriving community that retains its safe, scenic, friendly and inviting character with leadership that puts community first.
Last summer, Warren county conducted a survey to obtain community input for a new vision statement for the county to use as a guide in the upcoming update to the comprehensive plan. The survey asked questions about land development, housing, parks and recreation, historical preservation, education, roads and taxes.
The county’s expansive outreach, through press releases, social media and announcements at public meetings, resulted in more than 1,100 completed surveys. Survey results and additional input from various stakeholder groups was then used to craft a new strategic vision that is truly representative of the community.
The next phase to update the comprehensive plan will begin summer 2019.
We want to keep our citizens involved throughout the process and we are working hard to encourage their participation.
—Warren County Planning Director, Taryn Logan
