Seth is a native of Shenandoah County, and currently the fisheries supervisor for Trout Unlimited’s Shenandoah Headwaters and Upper James Home Rivers Initiatives. Based in Woodstock, Seth coordinates Trout Unlimited’s brook trout restoration work in the Shenandoah Valley and western Virginia. Seth earned a degree in fisheries science from Virginia Tech and a master’s degree in biology from James Madison University. Before his current position with Trout Unlimited, he worked for the USDA Forest Service Southern Research Station in Blacksburg conducting fish passage assessments throughout the Southeast, and for the Potomac Conservancy in Winchester protecting important valley lands with conservation easements. Seth lives with his wife Liza and their two children in Quicksburg. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time in the woods and on the river with his family and friends.
