Recognizing Local Conservation Heros

The Alliance would like your help in recognizing outstanding community members who have done more than their fair share to preserve the things we love about the Shenandoah Valley. Can you introduce us to your local hero?

The Shenandoah Valley is an extraordinary place, with its iconic farming landscapes, beautiful streams, world-class public forest lands, and rich cultural history. We recognize and are grateful for the many community members that work quietly to conserve the land, water and way of life in their corner of the Valley. The Valley Treasure award is an opportunity to meet and recognize those folks, so please take a few minutes to introduce us to your award nominee.

  • Inspired other people to get involved.

Selection Process

All nominations will be reviewed by a small committee made up of two Alliance board members, one Alliance staff member and two community members.
