Save the Knob
Working with Town of Mount Jackson and The Conservation Fund, Alliance legacy organization Shenandoah Forum raised the funds to permanently protect 137 acres of ridgeline known as The Knob. One of the Shenandoah Valley’s signature sights, The Knob elicits deep community connections, plays a vital role in the community’s water supply and is a critical natural resource. Because of community-wide support, it is now protected and will likely be incorporated into the adjacent George Washington National Forest and protected for future generations.
