Originally from Botetourt County, Cory transplanted to the Shenandoah Valley 13 years ago to work as a conservationist with the Harrisonburg USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service office. He is presently the district conservationist. He has a degree in environmental science from Ferrum College. Cory lives with his wife and two young children in Keezletown.When not working, Cory enjoys spending time out-of-doors, hiking, gardening or fishing, with his family. He also frequently returns to Botetourt County to lend a hand on a beef cattle farm owned by a family friend, where has worked for over 20 years.
